The Gow School Dyslexia Dash 5K, 10K and Campus Fun Walk!

RACE START TIME: 10AM!

SOUTH WALES, NY: Join us on Sunday, April 28, 2024, for The 2nd Annual Gow School Dyslexia Dash 5K, 10K, and Campus Fun Walk. The start and finish will be at The Gow School Athletic Center with bathrooms, plenty of parking, and an indoor after-party and awards ceremony. The 5K and 10K races start on the Gow campus and run up Emery Road, through the roads of Emery Park, and back to campus. The 10K also has an added out-and-back on a road that follows the park perimeter. This race offers rolling terrain, good shoulders for running, little traffic, and a great downhill at the end! The 2.1-mile Fun Walk will be an untimed guided tour of The Gow School campus on flat, paved roads and sidewalks. Perfect for families of all ages, skill, and enthusiasm levels.

Founded in 1926, The Gow School is an international boarding school for students in grades 6-12 with dyslexia and similar language-based learning differences. With a structured schedule and 4:1 student-to-faculty ratio, Gow provides an academic-year boarding school and a five-week summer program that prepares students for college and beyond. The Gow School is located just 30 minutes from Buffalo and a few minutes from East Aurora at the end of Route 400. The Dyslexia Dash will be part of Gow's Crimson and Navy Spring Family Weekend, with students and families joining the fun as runners and volunteers. All proceeds from this race will benefit Gow's Annual Fund.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
8:30-10:00 Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup
Race day registration & packet pickup will take place inside The Gow School Athletic Center. All participants will receive a GOW water bottle.

>5K Registration $30 through April 21, 2024, then $35

>10K Registration $35 through April 21, 2024, then $40

>2.1K Campus Fun Walk Registration* $25 through April 21, then $30
*Children under 10 can join the Campus Fun Walk for free!
*The Campus Fun Walk is a non-timed event

Post Race Celebration
The post-race celebration and awards ceremony will occur immediately following the race at The Gow School Athletic Center.

There is plenty of free parking on campus!

AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
The top overall male and female finishers in both the 5K and 10K races will be recognized. Age group certificates will be presented to the top three male and female runners.

14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 and older.

CANCELLATION POLICY
There will be no refunds. In the event of foul weather, public safety concerns, or for any other reason deemed necessary by race organizers (ex: state of emergency, etc), we reserve the right to postpone/reschedule the event at our discretion or offer a virtual alternative if necessary.

TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Professional timing & finish line services using industry-leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real-time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
